This was the hardest page to create as I did not have a picture that fit well with the text and other conventions of a Hip Hop magazine. This is because to stick to the common conventions of a Hip-hop magazine, I would have to stick to using one main picture and trying to organise the text around it. For this reason I have played around with the layout and editing of the different images I had selected.
I Chose the image that I felt had the best colours in it. This would mean that It would be hard to add all of the text that I wanted in it. Due to this, I had to add 70% opaque boxes to cover parts of the main image. For this reason, I will use black text to make the contrast even and bolder. I also tried this with the boxes at full opacity.
I also explored how the same masthead will look in different colours. This is also better in white as it is more of a contrast and goes against the writing of the actual content.
After this, I simply began to enter my text into the desired position. As I chose to use the same font as the masthead, I had to ensure that there were differentiations between all of the different sections. For example, I made 'on the cover' bold and then the information about the pages is in a smaller grey colour.
At the bottom I added a section showing what was in every issue. This was a main feature of music magazines as a whole and did not just apply to hiphop magazines. I added this feature to make sure that my magazine looked professional.
I added the social media icons onto my contents page, this was so that the magazine is present in a way that shows they are multi-platform. The snapchat icon is different to the main social networking sites that are usually shown. However, I believe adding this shows that the magazine applies to younger people.
This is the final contents page after all editing.
